The Mozart city on the banks of the Salzach – Salzburg is surrounded by its four local mountains and lies directly on the border to Germany. The “northernmost city in Italy” enchants its visitors with its magnificent architecture, an imposing fortress and its cultural heritage. The old town promises a walk through the centuries. The lively flair and special charm can best be experienced on a stroll through the historic centre. You can easily explore the old town of Salzburg by foot. On the right-hand side of the Old Town you will discover Linzergasse, Platzl’ or Steingasse. On the other side you visit the Getreidegasse with Mozart’s birthplace, the Festungsberg and the M\u00f6nchsberg.<\/p>\n
